Sustainable Gardening with Kids

Children are natural gardeners. Toddlers especially like to help, play in the dirt, water the plants and marvel at new growth. When working with kids in the garden even on a really small scale you are offering them an opportunity to become nurturers, participators, explorers and observers.

School holidays are a perfect time to garden. These holidays we are giving our kids their own garden plot and will encourage them to use sustainable practices such as worm tea watering, mulching, composting and companion planting.
